Another very informative and engaging meeting of the West Cumbria Community Forum took place this morning. Twenty two members of the Forum heard about the very positive, nationally applauded, work going on across the health and care system to achieve an increasingly integrated approach designed to improve health outcomes across all communities.
Members also heard about a practical programme of work being delivered to further develop the West Cumberland Hospital site. They also heard from those members of the Forum who now have a seat on the project board.
Members also welcomed Colin Cox, Assistant Director of Public Health and Communities for Cumbria County Council, whose contribution generated a great deal of discussion about the wider determinants of health.
