Pauline has worked for several years as a Social Worker with Children and their families in St Helens, Salford, Cheshire and latterly in Cumbria. Her main area of work has been Child Protection, though in the early years Pauline worked with all client groups eg elderly, physically-handicapped, blind, mentally-handicapped and the mentally ill. Her experience on generic teams gave her a good groundwork for her role as a Child Protection Social Worker. Over the years Pauline has enjoyed working with people and the various aspects of the work involved. Pauline is now in the process of retiring from her work as a Social Worker.
Pauline enjoys meeting people and helping others if the need were to arise, whether by a discussion where people express their views, or by offering assistance/guidance for people to access services.
Pauline’s family are very important to her. Even though her two grown up sons and her sister live away, Pauline has regular contact and enjoys spending time with them. Pauline has a black Labrador and enjoys taking her for walks and walking the fells
