Hi I’m Jane Irving and I am the Research and Data Officer for Healthwatch and I’m based in the Carlisle office. I started working for Healthwatch in July 2016.
I joined the Healthwatch team after graduating from the University of Cumbria in 2015 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Applied Psychology. I have worked during and after my degree in the health and social care sector as a Support Worker and Home Carer. This role really appealed to me as it was an opportunity to further my research skills and experience, something that really interested me whilst I was at university.
My role involves designing and helping deliver a range of research and evaluation projects. This includes: researching and preparing the literature reviews, designing, co-designing and overseeing the collection of data using quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. As well as collating and analysis of data and writing of research reports. I really enjoy the variety of different projects.
