Healthwatch Cumbria: Engagement Officer
(1x 22.5hr post based in Barrow, and possibility of sessional hours available throughout Cumbria)
Our Engagement Officers play a key role in the Healthwatch staff and volunteer team to undertake a variety of activities designed to gain the views of the public in relation to their health and social care experiences. They will act as a primary contact for a geographic locality, promote and publicise Healthwatch as widely as possible across all communities and stakeholders and write reports on evidence-based findings.
This role requires:
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
- Occasional evening and weekend work.
- Travel in Lancashire and Cumbria for which applicants will be required to use their own vehicle or public transport.

Board members support the Chair of Healthwatch Cumbria(HWC) to provide strategic direction and advice to shape the work of the HWC Team. They monitor HWC’s performance to ensure compliance with statutory and contractual obligations.
