The Care Quality Commission is asking for people’s views to help inform their new five year strategy.
In 2013 they launched ‘Raising Standards, Putting People First’ – a three year strategy introducing their new approach to regulation including the appointment of three chief inspectors.
The CQC are now developing a new strategy to be launched in spring 2016. This will be a five year strategy that will set out their vision for health and social care quality regulation in the future. The development of the new strategy is taking place within an ever changing environment in which people are living longer lives, expectations on the quality of health and social care are changing, the population is growing and technology is advancing.
CQC are inviting you to complete a web survey to help them develop their new strategy. This is an informal opportunity to feed into their strategy as it develops. In early 2016 the CQC will run a formal consultation on their proposed approach, before publishing a finalised strategy later in the year. To find out more, and to complete the survey, click here.
