West Cumbria Community Forum Shortlisted for Prestigious National Award

Making a Difference to Healthcare

The West Cumbria Community Forum has been shortlisted for an award at the Healthwatch England Annual Conference. It has been shortlisted under the category  ‘Making a Difference to Healthcare.’

The shortlisting recognises the difficult set of circumstances that we were faced with and the creativity, determination and dedication of our team.

Helen Horne (Healthwatch Cumbria Chair) and David Blacklock, CEO of Healthwatch Cumbria will travel to Manchester for the Healthwatch England Annual Conference on the 30th June and will find out then if we have been given the award.

David Blacklock said:

‘I am so pleased and proud that the work of the Community Forum has been recognised at this national level. Well done to all our staff and board members that have been involved. We must also recognise the work and support of our partners in this process, The Archdeacon Dr Richard Pratt independent Chair of the forum, Cumbria CCG, North Cumbria University Trust and all community representatives including the Save Our Hospital Campaign Group’.
