Healthwatch Cumbria has unveiled the first of its permanent stands at Carlisle Infirmary. The aim of these stands is to provide patients with the opportunity to share their views as they leave the hospital.
The stands will be on show in prominent positions in all main hospitals across the county. This will encourage patients, family members and the public to share their views by posting their comments cards into the stands.
Comments cards will be collected regularly, and information gathered will be used to help Healthwatch Cumbria to support the hospital trusts and commissioners to shape future services and make improvements.
Healthwatch is independent and can request information and make recommendations to health and social care organisations so this can be acted upon.
We have already gathered the views and experiences of many individuals and it is hoped that our stands will help to provide people with an easy opportunity to give immediate feedback.
