migraine

Having been suffering with a severe head ache for almost a week which did not improve any with over the counter pain relief, I visited my local GP and was given painkillers and other medicines.

Still no better 2 days on, and on a Saturday, I visited the Doctors  at FGH. I was taken into casualty and assessed by a lovely nurse. She took bloods, fitted a cannula and checked blood pressure etc.  The doctor then saw me, and repeated these tests and performed others. I was given some medication, and this seemed to work. I have been diagnosed as suffering from a migraine. I had to wait for my blood tests to come back from the lab – (about an hour on a Saturday), but the test results were clear.

The nurse and doctor at FGH were fantastic. It was a busy Saturday afternoon yet I was seen swiftly and left feeling much better and armed with the correct medication which will hopefully prevent further visits to the doctor or FGH.
